The MM7025 encourages various system configurations.  Use one for dedicated two-channel listening, or use two to as zone amplifiers to power speakers in different rooms.  Adding a new pair of loudspeakers to an existing home theater? – Get the most from your investment by adding an MM7025 as well.  The exact configuration is up to you.  Sound quality isn’t – it’s Marantz regardless of how you use this power amplifier.

The MM7025’s advanced technology serves all your listening needs. Current feedback circuits, also used in Marantz’s Reference Series amps, insure the purest sonic reproduction regardless of source.  Another MM7025 virtue, and one directly traceable to its substantial current capability, is the control it establishes over difficult speakers to reproduce both dynamic musical peaks and whispered dialog without blemish.

As befits a Marantz amplifier, the high-capacity power supply begins with an oversized EI-core transformer feeding carefully chosen capacitors capable of storing 30,000 µF of energy.  This combination instantaneously delivers peak power to all amplifier stages for distortion-free reproduction of the most complex sources.

In the final amplification stage, specially selected LAPT Hyper-Power output transistors, originally selected for Reference Series use, deliver fortissimo and pianissimo passages with equal aplomb.  To make sure they’re always operating at ideal temperatures, these transistors are mounted on a forced-air “thermal tunnel.”

The MM7025 is less than 14” deep from front panel to rear speaker terminals. This lets you place the amplifier almost anywhere – in a cabinet or on a shelf.  A detachable AC cord makes placement easy, even when there’s little room and you can even rack mount it with the optional rack mount kit RMK8754MSP.

You’ll find rear panel connections for a “flasher” input that conveys On/Off commands from an infrared (IR) remote controller.  There’s a DC trigger input (and output) that lets you ”daisy chain” one or several MM7025s to turn on and off in synchronization with your preamplifer or surround processor.  If you’re going to use the MM7025 with legacy Marantz products, there are RC-5 connectors to give you a level of operating convenience you might not have thought possible.

In practical terms, the MM7055 is ideal for a “5.1” home theater system, whether based on a moderately powered receiver or a surround sound processor.  You can use it to power speakers in different areas of your home.

A massive power supply includes a multiple-secondary EI-core transformer and over 65,000 µF of custom-designed energy storage capacity. Physically, the MM7055’s output stages mount on an extruded aluminum “thermal tunnel” for efficient heat dissipation.  With temperature-sensing forced air cooling, this configuration assures cool operating temperatures for long-term reliability, even when making full use of the amplifier’s substantial output capabilities.

Balanced inputs and single-ended RCA inputs are both supported, and you can choose either type of input for each channel, individually, for easy and flexible connectivity.  Audiophile grade, gold-plated four-way binding post speaker terminals insure tight connections to your choice of speaker wire.

The MM7055 includes input and output jacks for DC “trigger” pulses as well as RC-5 jacks for total remote control convenience, even with legacy Marantz products.

The chassis itself is heavy gauge steel for maximum isolation from external vibration as well as electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.  And chassis depth is less than 14½” so the MM7055 will fit quite nicely on a shelf, in a cabinet, or in a conventional system rack with the optional rack mount kit RMK8003MM.

The power supply features a high current toroidal power transformer along with high power (71WVDC) filter capacitors with a total 100,000µF capacitance to easily handle sharp short-term transient peaks.

Featuring our unique current feedback discrete power amp output stages that are identical for all channels, the MM8077 is equipped with multiple high current discrete power transistors that feature high slew rate and wide operating bandwidth to extract the most detail from today’s high resolution audio formats.

The output devices are mounted on our unique dual extruded aluminum alloy heat sink assembly, configured in a tunnel arrangement that provides both passive and active cooling. The massive heat sinks feature multiple ribbed fins that provide a large passive cooling area, and the assembly is book-ended with a whisper quiet fan that automatically kicks in to provide near silent active cooling when the soundtrack heats up. As the fan is mounted internally directly to the heat sinks, and not externally to the chassis cover as is often the case, even when it’s running, it’s designed to be whisper quiet.

For maximum connectivity, the MM8077 features both unbalanced (RCA) and balanced (XLR) inputs, and each amp channel can be configured to use your choice of input connector. The loudspeaker terminals feature audiophile-grade construction, and are gold-plated for maximum signal transfer, and they can easily handle a wide range of audiophile speaker cable connectors.

The copper-plated chassis provides isolation from extraneous noise, and features a multi-layer reinforced bottom panel assembly for maximum rigidity along with triple-layer top cover. Elegantly finished in anodized black satin, the MM8077 features the classic Marantz ringed porthole display with a blue illumination accent that includes a display on/off function.

Marantz AMP30 6-Channel Black Power Amplifier

6-channel Switching Power Amplifier Module

A switching power amplifier is used to achieve a high output of 200W per channel (8Ω, 1kHz, T.H.D.: 0.05%, 2-channel operation). To ensure excellent performance, minimal distortion occurs across all frequencies. Additionally, there is little change in frequency characteristics due to speaker impedance. This system is combined with a high-speed preamplifier circuit with an HDAM for accurate reproduction of the fine nuances of DSD and high-resolution audio sources.

This unit has a high-speed current feedback amplifier circuit for accurate amplification of signals from HD audio devices such as Blu-ray disc players. The high-speed current feedback amplifier also achieves natural sound field reproduction.

Each part of the circuit is designed to ensure high audio quality, including high audio quality MELF resistance and an electrolytic capacitor.

Switch Between Unbalanced RCA and Balanced XLR

You can choose between two input channels: Unbalanced RCA and Balanced XLR input.

You can set a bi-amp connection and BTL connection for the power amplifier of each of the two channels without needing to connect an additional cable from the preamplifier. The BI-AMP connection prevents interference from counter-electromotive force as the woofer and tweeter are powered by separate power amplifiers. The BTL (Bridge) connection achieves a high drive performance as the positive and negative terminals of the speakers are directly powered according to the output levels of the power amplifier. Additionally, the drive current of the speakers does not directly enter the ground circuit. This stabilizes the ground potential that the amplitude is based on, reducing noise and interference between circuits to achieve an accurate amplitude.

By connecting this unit to a Marantz AV Preamplifier with an AMP CONTROL jack using the included cable, you can control operation of both units simultaneously, such as controlling the power or the illumination display settings. The connection to the AV Preamplifier is a ground floating connection that does not create an earth loop, minimizing adverse impacts on audio quality.

AMP 30 is a remarkably powerful, slimline 6-channel amplifier that can be paired with an AV preamplifier for an outstanding home theater system. AMP 30 is rated at 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 400 watts per channel into 4 ohms, and is built on Marantz’s exclusive HDAM and high-efficiency low-distortion Class D amplification. Combine with additional AMP 30, AMP 20 or AMP 10 power amplifiers to drive more complex speaker configurations.

(Speaker Virtualizer is not for use when both height speakers and surround speakers are connected. Height Virtualization may be applied when surround speakers are connected.)

This unit is equipped with the DTS:X decoder technology. DTS:X brings the home theater experience to new heights with its immersive object based audio technology which removes the bounds of channels. The flexibility of objects allows for sound to be scaled large or small and moved around the room with greater accuracy than ever before leading to a richer immersive audio experience.

DTS Virtual:X technology features DTS’s proprietary virtual height and virtual surround processing to deliver an immersive sound experience from any type of input source (stereo to 7.1.4 channel) and speaker configuration. (DTS Virtual:X is not for use when Height speakers are connected)
