Redefining the Science of Power ConditioningProtect your home theater equipment with a proper power solution with the AudioQuest Niagara 1000 Low–Z Power/Noise–Dissipation System. This epic power strip offers one ultra–high–current outlet for your amplifier, and five ultra–linear, low–noise outlets for other sources including AV Receivers, Blu–ray players, game consoles, powered speakers and more. With a slim and compact housing weighing a manageable 5.5 lbs, the Niagara 1000 can fit almost anywhere ? on the floor, rack mounted, or behind your entertainment center. Designed to guard against electrical surges and spikes which can easily damage electronics, the Niagara 1000 features Ultra–linear AC RF filtering capacitors, three banks of direction–controlled ground noise dissipation, and zero–ground contamination technology with more than 18 octaves of AC differential filtering with linear response. Experience the benefits of a highly optimized power management system with the AudioQuest Niagara 1000.Includes NRG–2 IEC Power CableNo matter how perfect an AC power source, distortion is added within any AC cable, especially within a stranded cable. Even the most sophisticated filters and power supplies cannot eliminate this cable–induced distortion.

    Niagara 1000 Low-Z Power/Noise-Dissipation System

    Ground Noise–Dissipation System

AQ’s patented technology vastly reduces groundborne noise without compromising safety or creating low–level ground loops. Zero Ground–Contamination Technology, and over–voltage shutdown, ensuring that your customers’ A/V systems are thoroughly protected from AC surges and spikes.

    Ultra–Linear Noise–Dissipation Technology

Niagara 1000 uses ultra–low resistance solid–core wiring optimized for low–noise directionality, capacitor forming technologies that vastly improve linearity and minimize distortion, and low impedance AC inlet and outlet contacts with heavy silver plating over high–purity Beryllium Copper for superior noise dissipation. This ensures the most consistent and widest bandwidth noise dissipation possible, without the inconsistent results that typify minimalist, multi–node resonant peaking found in many AC power conditioners.

Low–Z AC Power Inlets and Outlets

These inlets and outlets not only feature the superior grip and lower resistance of beryllium copper, but they also include a heavy Hanging–Silver plating to ensure the lowest impedance at radio frequencies, enabling superior noise dissipation.

    Non–Sacrificial Surge Suppression

The high quality surge suppressor accepts multiple transient power surges and spikes up to 6000V or 3000A (the maximum that can make it through a home or office electrical panel). Damage from electrical storms or power–line interruptions is virtually impossible. You can simply set it and forget it.

    NRG2 3–Pole IEC Power Cord

    SOLID LONG–GRAIN COPPER (LGC) CONDUCTORS

Solid conductors eliminate strand–interaction distortion. Evergreen's solid Long–Grain Copper allows a smoother and clearer sound than cables using regular OFHC (Oxygen–Free High–Conductivity) copper. OFHC is a general metal industry specification regarding "loss" without any concern for distortion. LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, less impurities, less grain boundaries, and definitively better performance.

    COUNTER–SPIRAL GEOMETRY

NRG–2 power cables have an inner circular array of positive conductors spiraling in one direction. Around this inner group are the negative conductors spiraling in the opposite direction. Even while the positive and negative conductors are crossing each other instead of being parallel, the relationship between the positive and negative groups is fixed and non–changing, adhering to one of AudioQuest's most basic design tenets consistency. The result is an astonishing clarity, like focusing a camera lens you had no idea was so far out of focus.

    COLD–WELD SYSTEM

This novel plug design enables a perfect heat–free connection between cable and plug. The connection between the plug and conductors is made using AQ's Cold–Weld System, which provides a superior connection that ensures that the structural integrity of the conductor is kept completely intact. The Cold–Weld System refers to a combination of high pressure at the point of contact and the use of copper– or silver–impregnated paste.

Detailed Specifications
    Specifications
  • Surge Suppression: Non–sacrificial (nothing to damage with repeated 6000V/3000A input surge tests, which is the maximum that can survive through a building’s AC electrical panel).
  • Extreme Voltage Shutdown Voltage: 140VAC (will activate the main high–current relay to open within less than 0.25 second; automatically resets once the incoming power is within a safe range).
  • Transverse–Mode Noise Dissipation: In excess of 24dB from 20kHz to 1GHz, linearized for dynamic (rising) line impedance with frequency (source) and 10 to 50 ohm load, system current dependent.
  • Input Current Maximum Capacity: 15 amps RMS (total).
  • AC Outlet Banks: 3 (Group one consists of the top 3 isolated Ultra–Linear Filtered AC outlets). The 2 below are another bank of isolated Ultra–Linear Filtered AC outlets), and the bottom outlet is a single isolated High Current outlet.
  • Number of AC Outlets: 6 (1 High Current/Ground Noise Dissipated; 5 UltraLinear Filtered/Ground Noise Dissipated).
  • Power Consumption: Typically, less than 5W at 120VAC input.
  • Dimensions: 6.25” W x 4.0” H x 17.0” D
  • Weight: 10 lbs
